Equal opportunity in science refers to the equal, similar opportunities or scopes for the individuals in STEM fields. Science is a massive field where everyone is exploring and inventing new things every day. People can get equal opportunities to explore the blessings of science and make full use of their talents but there are still some observations. Men and women are not seen working together or equally in this field. Depending on some prejudices, men are more welcomed in this field than women. Women's talents are often neglected in our society. But We should believe that women are no less than men to work with science and provide them equal opportunities to bring changes in the technologies.
Today I am going to talk about a successful Bangladeshi scientist Dr. Raysa khan Tareque who has made her self identity in STEM. The scientist is currently residing in the UK. She grew up in Sweden and completed her education in the UK. At a very young age Raysa discovered her curiosity in chemistry. Later on she completed her bachelor's degree in chemistry from Nottingham Trent University, achieving higher marks in medicine and pharmaceutical chemistry. She completed her PhD in medical chemistry from the university of Sussex. According to an interview of the Daily Ittefaq, Dr. Raysa is currently working with a synthetic biology company Evonetix as a synthetic chemist. She is working on a project along with her team of biology, chemistry, engineering, computer science, electronic and mechanical experts. The company is working to develop the next generation of DNA technology which will help reduce the time and cost of synthetic biology and health experiments along with bringing new opportunities in this sector. Raysa's team is working to develop this DNA technology which does not exist anywhere. So if they succeed, they will be able to redefine the existing processes of DNA synthesis. I must say Raysa is doing great in her field.

In my opinion, Dr. Raysa has become a role model for the female population. Now let me give two examples supporting my statement. First of all, Raysa is inspiring the female population who want to make their identities in STEM. For example: working in a biology company as a synthetic chemist is not an easy job. People can automatically think that being a scientist is a men's job. Females are not suitable for this sector, Only men can do such a task. But proving these thoughts wrong, Raysa has achieved her goal in science and created her self worth. She is motivating the females to join and work equally in this field.

Lastly, I want to add that women should never think of themselves as weak. They should have purposes and goals in life and keep working until they are achieved. I think as Raysa could make her identity in science, many other women can do so if they believe in themselves. Though there are some obstacles, if someone has the dedication and is ready to put in the effort then science is welcoming individuals to change the world by working together.
